The MUBW15-12A7 is a three-phase converter-brake-inverter module for AC motor drives with electric braking, integrating a rectifier, inverter, and brake chopper in one package. It uses an industry-standard insulated copper base plate with soldering pins for PCB mounting. The inverter section supports 1200 V and 35 A continuous collector current at 25°C, with a saturation voltage of 2.1 V at 25°C and 2.3 V at 125°C. The rectifier diodes have a peak reverse voltage of 1600 V and a 36 A forward current. The brake chopper handles 1200 V and 20 A. Thermal resistance from junction to case is 0.7 K/W for the IGBT, 1.3 K/W for rectifier diodes, and 3.2 K/W for the brake diode. An NTC temperature sensor is included. Total power dissipation is 100 W at 25°C.
