The IXGT40N120A2 is a 1200 V, 40 A continuous current IGBT in a TO-268 surface-mount package, designed for AC motor control, DC servo drives, and switch-mode power supplies. It features a maximum collector-emitter saturation voltage of 2.0 V at 40 A and 110 °C, with a thermal resistance from junction to case of 0.35 K/W. The device supports a peak collector current of 160 A for pulses under 300 μs and has a gate-emitter voltage rating of ±20 V continuous, ±30 V transient. It operates from -55 °C to 150 °C junction temperature and meets international standard package dimensions. The part is qualified under AEC-Q200 and RoHS standards.
