The IXGT16N170 is a 1700 V NPT IGBT in a TO-268 (D3-Pak) package, designed for high-voltage switching applications such as AC motor speed control, DC choppers, and uninterruptible power supplies. It has a continuous collector current rating of 16 A at 90°C and a peak pulsed current of 80 A for 1 ms. The gate-emitter voltage is rated at ±20 V continuous and ±30 V transient. The collector-emitter saturation voltage is 3.5 V at 16 A and 25°C. Thermal resistance from junction to case is 0.65 °C/W. The device meets UL 94 V-0 flammability standards and features a MOS gate drive for simplified control. It operates within a junction temperature range of -55 °C to 150 °C and includes an isolated mounting screw hole for easy installation.
