The IXGA12N120A3 is a 1200V punch-through IGBT in a TO-263 package, designed for high-power switching applications up to 3kHz such as inverters, motor drives, and SMPS. It has a continuous collector current of 12A at 90°C and a peak current of 60A for 1ms. The collector-emitter saturation voltage is 2.40V to 3.0V at 25°C and 2.75V at 125°C, with a thermal resistance junction-to-case of 1.25°C/W. The device meets RoHS standards and has a maximum junction temperature of 150°C. Its gate-emitter threshold voltage ranges from 2.5V to 5.0V, and it supports clamp inductive load switching up to 24A. The package dimensions and weight are 2.5g, with a mounting force requirement of 2.2 to 14.6 lb. (10 to 65 N).
The Littelfuse family of Punch Through (PT) IGBTs exhibit high gain, very fast switching and low conduction losses. They are optimized for higher speed applications up to 100kHz in UPS, Off-line Switching Power Supplies, and Induction Cooking. The G-series is available with or without an integrated Ultrafast FRED diode.
