The Enclosure...The box is a rugged, lightweight weatherproof economy enclosure that is ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications. Constructed from injection molded ABS resin, it is well suited for a wide range of temperature or harsh environments. The mounting holes are molded into the enclosure permitting it to be wall mounted as well as on a flat surface. The raised lid features a 2-part molded hinge and molded quick release latches with a locking hasp on the lid. The raised lid is fully gasketed. The enclosure comes with an Aluminum mounting plate. This allows the installer to mount the hardware and components easily, taking advantage of the available space. The enclosure material is UV stabilized and comes in neutral light gray color. The NBE141006-10F is designed for use as electrical and electronic box in many environments including factories and processing plants; municipal and state government installations; retail, wholesale, warehouse and commercial facilities. These enclosures are also suitable for use as an instrument enclosure in both indoor and outdoor applications. Hot Environments... To help ensure trouble-free operation of electronic equipment, proper operating temperatures inside an enclosure needs to be maintained. With the built-in cooling fan, internal temperatures can be better maintained. This model is ideal in hot environments. The NBE141006-10F model includes a thermostat-controlle
d 12W (Max) fan. The high airflow, low noise fan used allows air to be pushed or pulled through the enclosure. Filters for both ports are easily removable for cleaning and replacement. The fan turns on when the internal temperature rises to 120° F (49° C) ±5° and turns off at 90° F (32° C) ±10°. The cooling fan does not require the use of either AC outlets, leaving them both available for your equipment. Lightning Protection... Surge protection is provided as a standard feature on the internal AC outlets. In addition, the unit can accept up to two optional bulkhead-mount N-Type lightning protectors to protect the coaxial cable runs. The HGLN-CAT5 lightning protector can be used with Power-over-Ethernet applications and custom mounted in the enclosure.
