Icron's USB Rover® 2850 provides extension of USB 1.1 connections at up to 12Mbps over 40m/131ft of Solid Conductor Cat 5e (or better) cabling. (85m/279ft may be achievable with low-speed HID). The 2850 provide two device port.s on the REX unit. The 2850 is bus-powered and does not require an external power supply, The 2850 transmits power and data over the same Solid Conductor Cat 5 (or better) cable providing 400mA that is shared by both ports on the REX unit as long as the LEX unit is supplied with 800mA by the host computer. This extender is ideal for use with HID (Human interface Devices) such as keyboards and mice. The 2850 provides support for any full-speed (12 Mbps) or low-speed (1.5 Mbps) USB device. Set includes both the local and remote units. Supported platforms include: Windows, MAC OS, Linux
