The 8487 fan guard assembly is a plastic housing for an 80mm (3.12-inch) fan, consisting of a guard and retainer made of glass-filled nylon 6/6 with UL 94V-HB rating, and a filter media of polyester foam and aluminum mesh that allows 24 CFM airflow with minimal pressure drop. It features a snap-fit retainer for easy media replacement, countersunk mounting holes (4), and a maximum ring spacing of 0.250 inches (6.4 mm). The assembly is designed to protect fan blades and reduce external noise while enabling cleaning without removal of the guard or fan.
