KADANT Syphon Elbow

Description
The Kadant Johnson locking elbow is the first 45° syphon elbow designed exclusively for high speed, small roll diameter applications. The stainless steel horizontal leg is secured to the vertical leg using a proprietary locking mechanism. This robust syphon elbow provides maximum reliability and performance. As an integral component of the steam joint, the locking elbow is the most maintenance-free and reliable syphon elbow available. Features of the 45° Locking Elbow Patented pinless design Increased robustness of syphon system. Materials are made of stainless steel for corrosion resistance Straight thread on vertical leg allows for syphon clearance adjustment For easy installation, Kadant Johnson has engineered an installation tool that locks the elbow in position once inside the roll. To permit easy removal of the elbow, special alloys have been used to minimize galling and corrosion. To use the locking elbow with Kadant Johnson rotary joints Type SX, ELS and LJ-PT a -1 head with a pressure plate and split ring and a 1" schedule 80 horizontal pipe is recommended. As an alternative, Kadant Johnson offers its CorrPro steam joint and syphon as a complete package for the ultimate rotary joint and syphon for small roll, high speed applications.
