For easy installation, Kadant Johnson has engineered an installation tool that locks the elbow in position once inside the roll. To permit easy removal of the elbow, special alloys have been used to minimize galling and corrosion.
To use the locking elbow with Kadant Johnson rotary joints Type SX, ELS and LJ-PT a -1 head with a pressure plate and split ring and a 1" schedule 80 horizontal pipe is recommended. As an alternative, Kadant Johnson offers its CorrPro steam joint and syphon as a complete package for the ultimate rotary joint and syphon for small roll, high speed applications.
