The Eaton Model 50 plug type duplex strainer (also called a twin basket strainer) consists of two separate high quality strainer baskets, and a pressure rated plug valve. The design is such that it is impossible for this operation to stop the flow because of the unique port design in the diverter plug.The plug is automatically positioned each time in exactly the right spot by integral stops. The entire switching operation takes fewer than 30 seconds, no tools required.
