Inductotherm has developed and patented a new type of Edge Heating System─UNIEDGE®─which uses an inductor that automatically adjusts to a change of strip dimensions without any movement.
Edge Heating Systems are designed to be added below the galvanneal heating assembly. The UNIEDGE® Heating System supplies additional heat to the edges of the strip which homogenizes strip temperature prior to galvannealing. Other advantages include:
Accommodates varying strip width without mechanical adjustment
Includes proprietary preassembled design for the UNIEDGE® induction edge heater which minimizes installation and commissioning time
