IKG Roadway and Bridge Grating RWL

Description
Roadway and Bridge Grating was first installed in 1932 by Harsco Industrial IKG (IKG) on Seattle’s University Bridge. IKG’s roadway and bridge grating meets AASHTO criteria. With excellent lateral stability, it is ideally suited for rolling and turning wheel loads, bridges and bascule lift spans. The cold driven rivets do not fatigue under vibration as do welded joints. The RWL product is used where the demands are not as great or where a lighter weight installation is required. It incorporates a shorter intermediate bar plus a transverse bar for a solid installation with lighter weight. Available in Carbon Steel and High Strength Steel. Note: The painted finish is one shop coat of water-based black or gray paint to protect during transit and is not considered a finished coat. Features Manufactured to NAAMM standards Meets AASHTO criteria Available in wide variety of bar sizes and spacing Truss style crimp bars provide excellent lateral stability for rolling and turning wheel loads Light weight compared to solid surfacing Advantages Economical Durable Low maintenance Long life Surfaces Serrated (slip resistant) Smooth Finishes Galvanized Steel Gray GrateCoat® Black GrateCoat® Bare Steel
