Close Mesh Grating is manufactured by the same method as standard pressure locked grating, but with close bar spacings. It is one of the oldest designs of metal bar grating and installed as subway grating in most major U.S. cities. This versatile grating is available in a wide selection of styles; it provides a rigid, flush walking surface or an attractive vertical architectural screen or divider.
The CM4 close mesh product has bearing bars spaced 11/16" on center and cross bars spaced 4" on center. Provides larger open area for use where more ventilation is required beneath the grating. Satisfies maximum 1/2" clear opening as required by ADA, if bearing bars have 3/16" thickness.
Available in Steel, Aluminum, and Stainless Steel.
Note: The painted finish is one shop coat of water-based black or gray paint to protect during transit and is not considered a finished coat.
