Description
ESDU 81029 provides values of the geometrical factor in the stress intensity factor for round-ended lugs loaded axially by a single central clearance-fit pin. The cracks are assumed to be a uniform depth through the full thickness of the lug. Values are provided for single cracks on one side of the pin or two cracks of equal length on opposite sides of the pin. The data are provided both graphically and in tabular form. The latter are such that linear interpolation between adjacent values provides sufficient accuracy for crack growth calculations.
