This #2 Common & Better grade Hickory is a blend of #2 Common, #1 Common and Select Grade, giving the floor a beautifully natural apperance with all of the natural character that hickory hardwood has to offer, and with a very low waste factor. This flooring will exhibit blonde colored heartwood with chocolate brown sapwood. Some knots will be present in this grade. This is a very desirable grade of Hickory flooring due to the fact that is has all the character that Hickory is known for, while remaining very structurally sound, and having a very low waste factor. The 8" board width makes for a beautiful wide plank design, and can be further enhanced by mixing with other widths for a stunning random width floor that is sure to earn complements from visitors. Because this is a blend of grades that includes higher grades, this product will have an average board length of about 44", compared to an average board length of only 30" if this were made entirely of #2 Common material.
