This solid Hickory flooring is graded Select & Better, and will be a very clean overall floor, exhibitting slight, natural color variation produced by differences of natural heartwood and sapwood. This Select & Better graded flooring will have very few character markings such as knots and mineral streaks, and has an overall look that is very clean. This grade of flooring is typically used in contemporary style homes, and all other homes where a very clean, consistent looking floor is desired. Hickory is known for having a signifigant amount of color varitation, from blonde to chocolate brown, so some color variation is to be expected in all grades in this specie of hardwood.
