The MEXA-1170HFID is a compact heated type total hydrocarbon (THC) analyzer designed for measuring total hydrocarbons using a heated flame ionization detector (HFID). It features a user-friendly design that integrates the sampler and control unit into a single case, facilitating easy installation and operation. The device offers an extensive measuring range with 14 selectable options, from 0-10 ppmC to 0-200,000 ppmC, making it suitable for various applications including automotive engine emissions and evaporative emissions from sealed housing for evaporative determination (SHED). The analyzer operates with a sample line temperature that can be specified at either 113¬8C or 191¬8C, depending on the application. It has a sample gas flow rate of approximately 2 L/min and a response time of within 1.5 seconds. The warm-up time is approximately 2 hours after ignition. The MEXA-1170HFID supports digital data output via RS-232C and features a color LCD for monitoring test data. It is capable of analyzing emissions from gasoline, diesel, alcohol, LPG, CNG, and various engine types, with optional heated filters available for specific applications. The product is designed to operate in ambient temperatures ranging from 5 to 40¬8C and under 80% relative humidity.
With 14 selectable ranges - from 0-10 ppmC to 0-200,000 ppmC - MEXA-1170HFID can measure direct, CVS/tunnel-diluted, and evaporative-emission
A ten-key control pad and a color LCD make it easy to monitor the test data. Data transfer to a remote computer is possible via RS-232 or an optional analog output.
