In DIN VDE the operational areas are defined, where the applications of switchboard cables are permitted. These cables are preferred for the transmission of data signals of telecommunication and control processing i.e. in interlocking installations, to connect the outdoor cables with relay groups as well as for fixed installation to interconnect the racks and distributor frames. This type is not allowed for installation of heavy current operation.
