Gilson Company, Inc. Gyratory Compactor, 120V/60Hz HM-278

Description
The HM-278 Gyratory Compactor meets ASTM and AASHTO requirements for use on-site or in the lab. The Compactor includes a PC and is ideal for process control data storage via the RS-232 port. Software and calibration equipment are included, making it the best value for a Superpave Compactor. This safe, easy-to-use unit has a proven track record for producing accurate, consistent results. The South Central Superpave Center found this compactor to be "comparable 12 out of 12 times, a perfect rate of comparison." Ergonomic design allows the user to charge the mold or compact and extract the specimen, all without lifting the mold. Built-in, power-assisted specimen extractor means no hand pumping. The see-through door and completely enclosed, illuminated chamber permit continuous observation. For safety a large emergency stop button and a switch halts gyration when the door guard is opened. External Angle of gyration is preset at 1.25°, but is adjustable from 0.5°-2.0°. Gyration rate is 30rpm. Consolidation pressure can be set from 200-1,000kPa and adjustable ram travel speed is factory set at 10mm/second. Specimen height is continuously measured during compaction to ±0.1mm. Cabinet Dimensions: 21.1x28x63in (536x711x1,600mm), WxDxH. Compactor operates on 120V/60Hz electrical supply; inquire for 230V/50Hz availability. Compactor is shipped with PC, Gyratory Software, 150mm Mold with Bottom Plate, 150mm Piston Face and Gyratory Calibration Device. Compactor may be ordered equipped to compact 100mm specimens; inquire. Extra Mold assemblies for 100mm and 150mm specimens are available by ordering Molds and Bottom Plates together.
