GE Grid Solutions Live Tank Circuit Breakers

Live Tank Circuit Breakers up to 1,100 kV Live tank circuit breakers of the GL 300 series are equipped with durable, low energy mechanisms and self-blast interrupters with single or double motion technology. The low energy operation makes the circuit breaker a cost-effective and reliable solution. The breakers are either built gang operated up to 245 kV or Independent Pole Operated (IPO) offering flexible solutions to utilities depending on the switching application. The field-proven circuit breakers are capable of operating in extreme environmental conditions such as extreme temperatures, seismic zones, polluted areas, and corrosive atmospheres. Furthermore GE offers bypass switches, railway circuit breakers for 16.7 Hz, and breakers for special applications such as capacitor banks and reactor switching. Additionally GE can provide HVDC switches up to 800 kV.
