Federal Signal's FHEX-24SMR is an explosion-proof vibrating horn for alarm notification systems, operating on 24 Vdc with a duty cycle of 5 minutes on and 5 minutes off. It produces a sound pressure level of 99 dBa at 10 ft (109 dBa at 1 m) using a stainless steel diaphragm housed in a copper-free cast aluminum enclosure with 3/4 NPT conduit entries and red powder coat finish. The unit is rated for indoor/outdoor use, complies with UL and cUL standards for Class I, Division 1, Groups C and D; Class II, Division 1, Groups E, F, and G; and Class III, with a T6 temperature classification at 40°C ambient. It includes a supervisory diode and four wires. Dimensions are 7.63 in height by 6.50 in diameter, weighing 9.0 lb.
