Exceed,Ñ¢ m 3518.CB Wire & Cable is a metallocene polyethylene resin specifically designed for wire and cable applications. It is an ethylene 1-hexene copolymer that enhances mechanical properties such as tensile strength, elongation, tear, and crack resistance, making it suitable for various working conditions. This resin is compatible with halogen-free flame retardant compounds and is recommended for use in cable jacketing. The product is available in pellet form and has a density of 0.918 g/cm¬=. It features a melt index of 3.5 g/10 min at 190¬8C and a peak melting temperature of 237¬8F (114¬8C). The Vicat softening temperature is 221¬8F (105¬8C). Mechanical properties include a tensile strength at break of 4300 psi (30 MPa) and an elongation at break of 700%. In terms of electrical properties, it has a volume resistivity of 1.4E+15 ohms¬?m and a relative permittivity of 2.31 at 1 MHz. This product is suitable for high, medium, and low voltage jacketing applications and is available in multiple regions including North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific.
