Due to its composition CaF2 (Calcium Fluoride) has much longer useful life than most materials when used in a fluorine environment. Calcium Fluoride (CaF2) mirrors, prisms, beamsplitters and beam selectors are available upon request. Calcium fluoride (CaF2) has useful transmission over the spectral range from 0.2 to 8.0 microns UV and IR grade CaF2 windows are popular choice for specroscopic and thermal imaging applications CaF2 windows have high damage threshold and can be used as mirror substrates for UV laser systems
