Flanged immersion heaters are constructed with formed tubular heating elements brazed or welded to a high pressure flange for direct immersion into tanks and pressure vessels.
Flanged immersion heaters are capable of achieving higher wattage requirements than screw plug heaters due to the fact that additional heating elements can be added to this design.
A variety of ANSI flange sizes ranging from 3” to 14” are available with pressure ratings of 150 lb., 300 lb., and 600lb. Depending on the application requirements, an integral thermowell can be supplied for thermostat or electronic temperature control.
Standard enclosures are NEMA 1 for general purpose applications. Other enclosure options include NEMA 4 for moisture resistance and NEMA 7 for explosion resistance. Any of the enclosure selections can include a single or double pole thermostat.
