The MLP 85°C Flatpack™ is a very low-profile aluminum electrolytic capacitor designed for voltage holdup and filtering in military, telecom, and computer applications. It offers 50-year life at +45°C and supports up to 20 joules of energy storage in a 0.5-inch height. Available in three case sizes (EK: 1.5 in., EA: 2.0 in., EB: 3.0 in.), it operates from -55°C to +85°C with voltage ratings from 7.5 to 450 Vdc and capacitance from 110 µF to 47,000 µF. Capacitance tolerance is ±20%, and ESL is less than 30 nH at 1 MHz. Ripple current capability can be doubled with an external heatsink. The unit is sealed by a welded, nearly hermetic closure and meets vibration standards MIL-STD-202 Method 204 and IEC 60068-2-6. Terminals are 18 AWG copper wire with tin-lead electroplate, and case materials are aluminum.
