The MLP series is a very low-profile, ultra-long-life aluminum electrolytic capacitor designed for voltage holdup and filtering in military, telecom, and computer applications. It operates from -55°C to +85°C depending on voltage, with a rated voltage range of 7.5 Vdc to 450 Vdc and capacitance from 110 µF to 47,000 µF. It features a ±20% capacitance tolerance, a welded nearly hermetic seal for 50-year life at +45°C, and an ESL of less than 30 nH. The case is aluminum with mounting options including tabs and leads, and thermal resistance varies by case size, with the EK case measuring 1.5 inches in length. Ripple current capability increases with heatsinking, and the component withstands 10g vibration per MIL-STD-202 and IEC 60068-2-6. It meets a 2000-hour endurance test at +85°C with full load.
