The Type 185 series comprises radial lead metallized polyester capacitors with 5.0 mm lead spacing, used for bypass, decoupling, and arc suppression. Housed in UL94V-0 rated rectangular plastic cases, they are non-polar, non-inductive, and operate from -55°C to +125°C with 50% voltage derating above 85°C. Capacitance ranges from 0.001 µF to 1.0 µF with ±5%, ±10%, or ±20% tolerance, rated at 50 to 400 Vdc. Dissipation factor at 120 Hz is ≤100 for ≤0.1 µF and ≤150 for >0.1 µF up to 10 kHz. Self-inductance is approximately 7 nH. The 185334K50RCA-F variant is a 0.33 µF, 50 Vdc, ±10% unit with dimensions 7.2 × 3.5 × 7.5 mm and 0.6 mm lead diameter in tape and reel packaging.
