The Type 101C is a low-ESR aluminum electrolytic capacitor for high-ripple current applications, rated from -55 °C to 105 °C with Thermal-Pak™ extended cathode construction. The 101C844U010DF2D variant has 840,000 µF capacitance at 10 Vdc, a 3.3 mΩ ESR at 120 Hz, and 58.2 A ripple current at 85 °C. It is housed in a 3-inch diameter by 5 5/8-inch length can with a stud terminal and standard PVC insulation. It meets a 5,000-hour endurance test at 105 °C under full load. Capacitance tolerance is -10% +50% for 200 Vdc and above. Leakage current is ≤1.5 √CV µA, max 4 mA after 5 minutes. Impedance ratio from -55 °C to +25 °C is ≤3.
