Nelson “T” trim studs are welded to either bare or corrosion protection treated steel sheet metal forautomotive applications. An extensive series of plastic and metal clips is available for use inconjunction with the “T” stud. The clips are retained by the head of the stud to perform a variety offunctions, like retaining wires, tubes, hoses, trim strips, and even windows.They are also used in the appliance and other sheet metal industries for similar applications. Due tothe small size of these studs, Nelson “T” studs are normally welded using Nelson automatic feedstud welding systems.
