The A 2B 7-H400 is a 40:1 right-angle worm speed reducer with a compression-molded glass-fill polyester housing, sintered bronze bearings, and a hollow output shaft. It has a 3-3/8 inch height, 3-7/8 inch width, and 3 inch depth, weighing 28 oz. The unit is rated for 1800 rpm input and delivers 0.08 hp at 45 rpm with 112 lb-in of output torque, featuring a ground steel worm and precision-hobbed bronze driven gear, pre-lubricated with grease and sealed input shaft. It includes four mounting holes for #10-24 screws and an output shaft with a 0.630 inch inner diameter and 0.875 inch outer diameter with a 0.031 inch flat. The part is part of a series with solid and hollow shaft variants across multiple ratios.
Speed reducers are components that use a gear train to reduce output rpms. MGX gearheads and speed reducers are made to the highest exacting standards of craftsmanship. Our MGX gearheads are attachable to the U.S. Bureau of Ordnance (Bu-Ord for short) frame-size servomotors without modifications to the input pinions and without complicated adapters, screw threads, etc., thanks to the versatile mounting clamps supplied. Mounting dimensions are identical to Bu-Ord OP 1755 motor dimensions.
Our speed reducers are offered in low and zero backlash options, with single- and double-ended shafts. They are available in Bu-Ord sizes 11, 15, and 18 and with an O.D. of 1-1/16”, 1-7/16”, and 1-3/4”.
