Our miniature rack cards have a unique design: front function cards and rear interface cards that connect together on a midplane power bus. This configuration allows interface cables to remain connected while function cards are hot-swapped (and vice versa). Each ClusterBox has a power supply that services all cards in the chassis. You can configure the ClusterBox with a variety of function cards (short-range modems or SRMs, fiber modems, converters, etc.) and you can mix-and-match function cards with different interface cards.
