The 2001 is a 1.4 GHz RF Generator from WaveTek. An RF generator is a tool engineers use to generate sinusoidal outputs while testing electronic equipment. The output will automatically have its frequency varied or swept between frequencies. A “sweep” is one complete cycle of a frequency variation. Engineers use RF signal generators as test equipment, mostly to measure responses of filters, amplifiers, and electrical components.
Additional Features:
Frequency range: 1-1400 MHz
Modulation: AM, FM
Sweep modes: - Linear
Harmonics (noise): 30 dBc
Output Impedance: 50 Ohm
For TV & CATV applications
+/-0.5 Flatness
External CW
Minimum Frequency: -1 MHz
Maximum Frequency: -1000 MHz
Minimum Output Power: -10 dBm
Maximum Output Power: -60 dBm
The WaveTek 2001 Sweep/Signal Generator offers programming, versatility and an exceptionally wide frequency range of 1 to 1400 MHz in three bands. The 2001 can be used in three modes of operation; Start-Stop, Delta F or CW. Swept from end to end or up or down at any rate from 50 sweeps/S or 1 sweep every 100 seconds. Manual, triggered or recurring sweeps and the sweep frequency, width and output attenuation may be controlled by external voltages. RF output amplitude from +10 to -80 dBm in 10 dB steps and a 20 dB variable. Marker type is a birdy by-pass with provisions for six plug-in marker modules plus an external marker input (optional).
