Daburn's dual wall polyolefin heat shrinkable tubing is designed to provide a tight moisture proof encapsulating seal. When 110°C/230°F is applied, the inner wall melts and flows, as the outer wall shrinks; forcing the melting wall to fill voids and interstices and to encapsulate the covered object. The result is a semi-rigid mass. It is suitable as an end cap, strain relief, whip cord for ropes and may be used as a selective potting and/or molding compound over wires and cables. Daflex SM270 series is ideal for covering splices, cable junctions and as a shield for coarse surfaces. SM270 is flame retardant. It resists oil, hydraulic fluids, acids and alkalis. Meets or exceeds Mil-I-23053/4††, AMS3634, UL 224: 125°C, 600V, VW-1. This series is RoHS compliant.
