Corning Optical Communications Local Convergence Cabinets OptiTect® HD series

The OptiTect® HD series is the first line of stubless and modular outside plant FTTx cabinets offered by Corning. Enabled by the Centrix™ platform, the cabinet offers on-board splicing and field-installable SC APC cassettes for applications that demand flexibility and modularity. As service provider demand grows, 24-fiber SC APC Centrix platform cassettes can be added as needed. The sky is the limit on configurations as the Centrix cassettes can be configured in any combination of feeder-to-distributi on port ratios as well as pass-through and cross-connect capabilities. One cabinet size can support up to 896 subscriber ports and 48 pass-through ports. A cabinet shell can be installed allowing the service provider to secure “right-of-way” pad space on day one with the ability to grow connector ports in the future. Fully compatible with LS splitter modules, LS Series splitters are available in multiple configurations and are field proven. The OptiTect HD series is now complete by offering a 288- and 576-fiber count option. The smaller fiber count offerings allow for smaller networks to utilize the high-density cabinet while continuing to focus on the compact Centrix cassette platform. The ability to stack a 288- or a 576-fiber FDH-HD cabinet onto another FDH-HD (288-, 576-, or 896-fiber) cabinet allows a customer to defer capital investment until the network expansion demands a larger fiber count cabinet.
