Features and benefits Convenient design The 901 routers have a small form factor for cell sites. They offer extended operating temperatures, front-panel access cabling, and LED indicators as well as redundant power and cooling. They are optimized for low power consumption. Support for nV technology Using Cisco network virtualization (nV) technology, service providers can create a new virtualized transport architecture. Effectively, an entire cloud of previously separate physical devices can be managed as a single virtual network element. Flexibility The ASR 901 routers support a variety of backhaul transport solutions for mobile Internet operators with GSM, CDMA, UMTS, and WiMAX networks. The routers also support all clock synchronization technologies. Clocking options include TDM, BITS, 1588v2, and SyncE.
