The EP7311-IR-90 is a high-performance, low-power microprocessor designed for ultra-low-power applications such as PDAs, smart cellular phones, and industrial handheld devices. It features an ARM720T processor with an ARM7TDMI CPU core, 8 KB of four-way set-associative cache, and a memory management unit (MMU) with a 64-entry translation lookaside buffer (TLB). The device operates at a typical power consumption of 90 mW at 74 MHz and can drop to as low as 10 mW in idle state and less than 1 mW in standby state. This microprocessor includes 48 KB of on-chip SRAM and supports dynamically programmable clock speeds of 18, 36, 49, and 74 MHz. It is equipped with various integrated peripheral interfaces, including a multimedia codec port, two UARTs with IrDA support, and an LCD controller capable of interfacing with both monochrome and color STN LCDs. The EP7311 also incorporates MaverickKey,Ñ¢ unique IDs for secure content delivery and compliance with SDMI standards. The device is available in multiple package options, including 208-Pin LQFP and 204-Ball TFBGA, and is optimized for low power dissipation, operating at 2.5 V for the core and 2.5 V to 3.3 V for I/O. This combination of features makes the EP7311-IR-90 suitable for applications requiring efficient processing with minimal power consumption.
