Cable Depot Inc. USB Hub ADP3161

Description
USB 4 Port Hub 1.1 Four Port USB Hub ADP3161 provides an electronic interface between USB devices and the host. The ADP3161 allows up to four USB devices or hubs to be connected to an upstream USB hub or Host. The ADP3161 is USB 1.1 compliant. Features; USB 1.1 compliant. Plug and play with USB devices. Bus fault detection and recovery. All downstream ports support full-speed and low-speed operations. Supports self-powered mode (adapter included) and bus-powered mode, indicated by LEDs. Individual power switches (each port; Overcurrent protection with current limit threshold: 500mA (Min) / 750mA (Typ) / 1250mA (Max). Turns power off in status of overcurrent or thermal shutdown. Soft start or slow turn on feature prevents surge when powering on "capacitive" loads. Reset by upstream attachment or programmable reconfigure. Downstream port LEDs indicating power and activity. Function Description Power Consumption 3 mA per LED 40 mA for HUB control circuit. Connector Upstream 1 USB Series B Receptacle Downstream 4 USB Series A Receptacles LED Power 1 BUS-power (Green LED), 1 Self-power (Red LED) Port Status 4 Port active status (Green LED) Weight 100 g Dimensions (L x W x H) 135 mm x 72 mm x 23 mm USB Notes: USB peripherals can connect either to a computer's port or to a hub. If the computer doesn't have enough ports for all the peripherals, a hub is necessary. Maximum length on individual cables is 5 Meters. No terminators are needed on this bus. The A (flat) type port would be considered the "out" port on a computer or hub. The B (square) type port would be considered an "in" port on hubs or peripherals. A typical USB "out" (Type-A) port can provide up to 500mA. The speed is 12 Megabytes per second for USB 1.1 or 480 Megabytes per second for USB 2.0, the maximum number of peripherals to a controller is 63 (hubs needed when the computer runs out of ports).
