Optimax connectors are reliable field installable. The design is a pre-polished fiber stub, requiring only a mechanical splice, no polishing. The Optimax connectors utilize a ceramic ferrule, with a PC (physical contact) polish for MM. The Optimax connectors utilize a ceramic ferrule, with a super physical contact (SPC) polish for SM connectors. The Optimax family includes ST, SC, LC style connectors for both SM and MM fibers. The MM connectors are for 900 micron buffered fiber only. Fiber Optic Patch Cord Assemblies are available.
