L8620TX is a 50 ohm triaxial cable designed for use in RFI-sensitive systems requiring high noise isolation. It features a 21 AWG stranded silver-plated copper conductor, triple shielding with aluminum/polyimide and tin-plated copper braid layers, and an extruded ETFE outer jacket. The cable has an outer diameter of 0.173 inches (4.39 mm), a minimum bend radius of 0.9 inches (21.59 mm), and operates from -55°C to 150°C. It exhibits a velocity of propagation of 79%, capacitance of 28 pF/ft (91.9 pF/m), and shielding effectiveness of at least -90 dB. It is RoHS compliant, Skydrol resistant per SAE AS4373E Method 601, and meets FAR Part 25.869 flame/smoke requirements. Attenuation ranges from 9.1 dB/100 ft at 0.4 GHz to 42.8 dB/100 ft at 5.0 GHz.
L8620TX is a 50 ohm triaxial cable that is used in systems that are susceptible to RFI and noise-generating devices, such as radar or other systems that need to be isolated. To improve the signal-to-noise ratio and noise pick-up, this cable has an additional outer braid shield insulated from the signal carrying conductors. For maximum shielding efficiency, triaxial connectors should be used where the isolation of the two shields is maintained through the connectors. Connectors for S86208 and S88207 coax cables can be used to terminate the “inner coax” of L8620TX.
