L2201TX is a 50 ohm triaxial cable designed for applications requiring high shielding efficiency against RFI and noise, such as radar systems. The cable features a 20 AWG stranded tin-plated copper conductor, dual tin-plated copper braid shields separated by extruded FEP dielectric and jacket layers, and an outer diameter of 0.245 inches (6.22 mm). It operates from -55°C to 150°C, has a velocity of propagation of 70%, and a minimum bend radius of 1.3 inches (31.75 mm). The cable meets RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC, SAE AS4373E Skydrol resistance, and FAR Part 25.869 flame/smoke requirements. Attenuation ranges from 10.6 dB/100 ft at 0.4 GHz to 72.7 dB/100 ft at 5.0 GHz, and shielding effectiveness exceeds 75 dB min. Weight is 6.0 lbs per 100 ft (8.9 kg per 100 m).
L2201TX is a 50 ohm triaxial cable that is used in systems that are susceptible to RFI and noise-generating devices, such as radar or other systems that need to be isolated. To improve the signal-to-noise ratio and noise pick-up, this cable has an additional outer braid shield insulated from the signal carrying conductors. For maximum shielding efficiency, triaxial connectors should be used where the isolation of the two shields is maintained through the connectors. Connectors for S44191 and S44193 coax cables can be used to terminate the “inner coax” of L2201TX.
