The AK4331ECB is a low-power, advanced 32-bit stereo digital-to-analog converter (DAC) designed for high sound quality applications. It features four types of digital filters that allow for sound color selection, enabling customization of audio output. The device includes a ground-referenced Class-G headphone amplifier with an output power of 70 mW at 8Oc, a total harmonic distortion plus noise (THD+N) of -100 dB, and a signal-to-noise ratio (S/N) of 109 dB. Power consumption is notably low, at 4.4 mW in playback mode with external slave mode, and 5.0 mW in PLL slave mode. The DAC supports a wide range of sampling frequencies from 8 kHz to 192 kHz and offers an asynchronous sample rate converter capable of upsampling by a factor of up to 6.02. It operates within a temperature range of -40 to 85 ¬8C and requires a power supply of 1.7 to 1.9 V for the DAC and headphone amplifier, and 1.65 to 3.6 V for the digital interface. The AK4331ECB is packaged in a compact 36-pin CSP format, making it suitable for space-constrained designs. It is also pin and register compatible with the AK4375A, facilitating easy integration into existing systems.
