4 to 20mA DC input
4 to 20mA DC output
15-36V DC SELV, 90-250V AC power
Single or dual I/O with a dual output model and full isolation
These units convert a 4-20mA process current input into two identical isolated 4-20mA output signals. Power is obtained from the output loop (sinks current).
Each channel operates independently to prevent interaction between channels. Galvanic isolation eliminates ground loops, reduces noise, and blocks transient signals. Splitters are available in 2-wire loop-powered and 4-wire AC/DC-powered models. The loop powered model runs on 12-50 VDC power from the output loop, has a built-in isolated excitation supply with short circuit protection, and can drive up to two field 2-wire process loops. The AC/DC-powered unit runs on 5-36 VDC SELV or 90-250 VAC with a low input burden that keeps voltage drop to less than 1.5 V for full-scale current and support wide 0 to 1000 ohm load range with no trimming is required if the load varies. Current limiting safely limits output to 27 mA. The splitters are DIN-rail mountable and feature removable terminal blocks. Both units feature pluggable terminals, zero/span trim pots and power LEDs that make installation, maintenance, and long term service easy.
For easy troubleshooting, each unit has LEDs and diagnostic test points. Power LEDs help identify output open loop conditions. The precision 10 ohm sense resistor enables monitoring of the output signal without disturbing field wiring.
Power Requirement 12 to 36V DC (loop-powered) Two-wire transmitter
