Specifications AWS A5.5 Class E8016-G Description USA 8016G is an extra-low hydrogen type electrode used for welding 86,000 psi high tensile steel. This electrode produces X-ray quality weld with good crack resistance, notch toughness and a fine bead appearance. USA 8016G may be used in any position with either AC or DC (reverse polarity). Applications USA 8016G is commonly used for welding high tensile steels such as pressure vessels, bridges, penstocks and rails.
