The VM1738 is a miniature voltage multiplier designed for surface mount applications, capable of converting an AC input voltage of up to 800V peak-to-peak into a maximum DC output voltage of -2000V for a single multiplier, or -4000V when two multipliers are used in series. It operates effectively within a typical output current range of 0 to 50.0¬µA and is suitable for frequencies between 10 kHz and 100 kHz. The device is rated for an operating temperature range of -55¬8C to +150¬8C, ensuring reliability in extreme conditions. The multiplier features Electroless Nickel / Immersion Gold (ENIG) plating, enhancing solderability and installation ease. Over-encapsulation is recommended when operating near the rated DC output voltages.
