Discover the Lapcon® Self Door Closer The Lapcon® Door Damper (LDD) is a self door closer that makes door operation easier and more convenient by ensuring that doors close smoothly and securely when pushed. Designed for interior swinging doors, the LDD takes hold of the door at 15° from the closed position and softly closes the door from there, regardless of how light or strong (within reason) the user has pushed it. There’s no more slamming, and no worries about doors being left ajar. The LDD self door closer is ideal for bustling work environments, luxury spaces, and institutional settings. The cycle-tested, sturdy steel construction is durable and has a clean, minimalistic look. After installing the LDD you can adjust the damper strength to best fit the door weight. The damper function on the LDD can be easily disabled and reactivated as needed. Compatible with Many Interior Swinging Doors The LDD self door closer has a slim vertical profile of only ¾” and fits comfortably into most door frames. The LDD supports interior door widths up to 36” (914 mm) and door weights between 33 and 88 lbs (15 – 4 kg). The LDD design is handed for left- and right-opening doors, so make sure you order the appropriate models as needed. The LDD is only for use on interior doors only, and should not be installed in areas with exposure to extreme temperatures, wind, humidity, or water.
