Si8932D-IS4 devices are galvanically isolated analog amplifiers. The single-ended input has a 0 to 2.25 volt specified input range which is ideal for measuring high voltage through a resistor divider or for any place where a sensor must be isolated from the control system. The output is a single-ended analog signal amplified to a peak 2.5V full scale output. The very low signal delay allows control systems to respond quickly to fault conditions or changes in load. Low offset and gain drift ensure that accuracy is maintained over the entire operating temperature range of -40 to +125˚C. Exceptionally high common mode transient immunity results in accurate measurements even in the presence of high power switching like would be found in a motor drive system or inverter. It supports 5 kV withstand voltage per UL1577 in a wide-body stretched SOIC-8 package. This technology enables higher performance, reduced variation with temperature and age, tighter part-to-part matching and longer lifetimes compared to other isolation technologies.
