Depending on the body materials, power inductors are divided into ferrite inductors and metal composite inductors. The metal composite inductors are high in rated current and superb in efficiency.
Characteristics of Metal Magnet Thin Film Type
Materials with lower core loss and internal electrodes (coils) with a higher A/R ratio are used. These products show high-efficiency characteristics and have very high characteristics of rated current (DC-bias) compared with multilayer-type products.
