The Model 2563 is an optical asynchronous bit-driver that enables concurrent, fully-independent RS232, RS422, and RS485 communication over a single duplex fiber optic cable. It features a metal ST connector for fiber interface, a female DB25 connector for RS232, and supports data rates up to 115.2 kbps. The unit has a metal enclosure measuring 3.6" X 2.3" X 1.2" (9.1 X 5.84 X 3.0 cm), operates on 9 to 12 VDC at 200 mA, and includes LED indicators for power, link status, and data activity. It supports both multimode and single-mode fiber, with a 10 dB power budget at 820 nm, and operates from 0°C to 50°C. The device meets FCC Class A, Part 15 requirements and offers a DIN rail mounting option.
