CLS-632-3 is a self-clinching nut designed for installation in aluminum, steel, or stainless steel sheets, providing high pushout and torque-out resistance. It features a serrated clinching ring to prevent rotation after installation and is compatible with sheets as thin as 0.025 in. (0.64 mm). The part installs into 5052-H34 aluminum with a pushout force of 110 lbs. and torque-out resistance of 16 in.-lbs., as specified for the CLS series. The nut has a M3.5 thread and is one of multiple variants in the CLS series, sharing core design and performance characteristics with all members of that series.
Type S, SS, CLS, and CLSS nuts provide load-bearing threads in thin sheets with high pushout and torque-out resistance.
Type SP, PEM 300® nuts provide strong load-bearing threads in stainless steel sheets as thin as .030”.
Types S and SS are recommended for use in steel or aluminum sheets HRB (Rockwell “B” scale) 80 or less and HB (Hardness Brinell) 150 or less.
