The BSOA-440-24 is a blind threaded standoff designed for self-clinching applications, suitable for mounting, spacing, or stacking panels in metal sheets as thin as 0.025 inches (0.63 mm). This standoff features a #4-40 thread size and a length of 24 inches. It is made from hardened stainless steel, making it ideal for use in environments where corrosion resistance is necessary. The installation process involves pressing the standoff into a properly sized round hole, resulting in a flush and closed outer surface. This product is particularly recommended for use in stainless steel sheets with a hardness rating of HRB 88 or less. Custom sizes are available upon request, and additional information can be found on the manufacturer's website.
These standoffs, which use the proven self-clinching design, install with a squeeze in properly sized round holes - and become permanently mounted in the thin sheet.
When blind-threaded types are used, outer sheet surfaces are not only flush, but closed as well.
