Blind-threaded self-clinching standoffs designed for permanent installation in metal sheets, featuring a closed-end barrel for flush mounting on the outer surface. Available in hardened stainless steel for use in stainless steel sheets with a maximum hardness of HRB 88 / HB 183. The BSO series has a minimum hole size of 0.040 in, a minimum edge distance of 0.27 in, and a thread size of #6-32. Length options include 0.687 in (22 in 32nds of an inch).
These standoffs, which use the proven self-clinching design, install with a squeeze in properly sized round holes - and become permanently mounted in the thin sheet.
When blind-threaded types are used, outer sheet surfaces are not only flush, but closed as well.
